Hosting options

Ourmedia is a free hosting site that works in conjunction with the Internet Archive. You have to create an account on both sites to upload your MP3 file.

Odeo Studio is a free recording and hosting site. Audio can be recorded on-line, by calling a phone number, linking to an existing file on the web, or uploading from your computer. They place a short advertisement in podcasts downloaded through their RSS feed.

Liberated Syndication is one-stop podcasting service. You can host your podcast files as well as your blog and feed on this one site. Pricing varies ($5 to $30) depending on the duration and frequency of your podcasts.

Hipcast (formerly AudioBlog) is another one-stop audio and video podcasting service. You can record audio on-line, via telephone, or upload your files. Prices vary based on storage or bandwidth usage.

Switchpod is a podcast hosting service offering free to $50 a month plans.

ClickCaster has an interesting business model. They host your podcast and give you the tools to charge listens to subscribe to your entire feed or by episode.
